Owner/Lead Photographer
Karen is a New York transplant and moved to Richmond, VA in 2006. She accepted a portrait studio position and within a year, was managing a successful franchise. She left the studio to teach High School Photography while still photographing on the side. In 2016 the side gig became a full time career managing, Karen Gage Photography. She has an unhealthy love of Halloween, tacos, tropical plants (checkout The Gage Greenhouse) and dogs. Her husband and daughter are the light the brightens her life.

Shelby is a former, photography student of Karen's and is currently attending James Madison University. She has been shooting for over 7 years and was recently selected to present her photographic work on campus at JMU. Her talent isn't limited to portraits as she has spent time abroad and adventuring with Karen, photographing art, history, landscapes and of course people!
